I have a 2004 Galaxy 1.9 TDi Zetec with AUY Engine

Initially, it used to go into limp mode quite often, whilst on the Motorway, but this reduced dramatically. It now only happens once on every trip. Apart from that, vehicle is fine.

I get the get the following fault codes :-

17965/P1557/005463 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation

17964/P1556/005462 - Charge Pressure Control: Negative Deviation

According to Ross-Tech it could be one of 3 things:-

Charger Pressure Control defective

VNT (variable nozzle turbo): nozzles stuck

Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) defective

I do not think any of the hoses or pipes have a leak or are blocked.

Any suggestions as to what it may be, how I can fix it and the best process to follow.

I had the same going up a steep hill in Wales on single lane traffic. Replace the boost pressure sensor on the thick black pipe next to battery almost and the air flow sensor on the air box. £50 for both, one Bosch and air flow aftermarket. Never troubled again in two years.
